The Orchard Tea Garden

Legendary tea garden set in an orchard planted in 1868, a short walk, cycle or punt from Cambridge. In 1897 Cambridge students first asked to be served tea beneath the blossoming fruit trees, starting a great Cambridge tradition associated with Rupert Brooke and the Bloomsbury Group. Serves homemade scones, cakes, cream teas and light lunches in deckchairs among the apple trees. Sells jars of orchard apple juice and local artisan products. Open daily 10am–4pm.
