Burcott Watermill

A fully working overshot watermill in the village of Wookey, one mile from Wells, with history traceable to the 10th century. The present mill was constructed in 1864. Produces nearly a ton of stoneground flour per week. Flour available to buy directly from the mill seven days a week from 8am to dusk. Self-guided mill tours on weekends from Easter to end of September. Post office, tea room, cream teas and preserves also on site.
